I like the composition, the main figure is very well placed on the frame, even though the whole is centered. I think that the upper lamp takes too much attention from the main figure( the important part), and so is the big part of the floor in FG, what do you think of cropping the upper part under the lamp and a bit from FG , make it a square and give all the stage to the figure? I upload to show you what I mean, tell me please if you want me to delet it, or what you think.?

for your appreciation and comments. Pnina your suggestion is most welcome. I agree with your pov on this composition and will act immediately. This work will be cropped and recomposed following your suggestion (although I still think that cropping in square format would leave a bit too much empty space on top). To be sincere I had fallen in love with that lamp on the upper left in this way unbalancing the compo and so doing unbalancing the whole. Tatjana, the chestnuts are in the sack on the bottom left, thank you for the good comment

This is such a rich, colorful and detailed picture and it seems a shame to trim anything out. I do like the little lamp myself and if anything would cut about an inch from the bottom.

Thanks for liking it. As you see Jack likes it as is, and my suggestion was another possibility, that I saw fit to the main subject that I like a lot( including the color). The lamp as I wrote takes too much attention( in my eyes). Thanks for accepting my offer, we learn and see more possibilities all the time....;-))

LATER, BTW, the empty space on the upper part is needed to remove it from the center ,cropping more will bring the whole again to the center compositionwise, my taste of course. ;-)) a bit more, is needed here( upper part) imo.

The lamp is very good here! Interesting presentation, beautiful colours and tonality. When there is a discussion about cropping, I am thinking about the crop from the bottom only. Best regards.

Both versions have their strengths but I'd prefer the original one just because of ... the beautiful lamp which confirms my belief I'm in a theater. The interesting thing is that the light follows the viewer, not the actor. As for the cropping issue imho two centimeters less from the bottom would make this shot even better. Anyway, very good job Giuseppe, best regards -wm
