Excellent as always with you, but here especially, your choice of color grading, with such a low saturation, gives this photo such a threatening and scary look to the baloons supposed to be "nice" and "funny".

 

Such a brilliant example of how to create and change atmosphere and meaning of an image by active artisitc decision

It is rare that I like photographs in which portions are selectively colored or black-and-white, but the technique was used effectively in this image. I think that one reasons it was successful here is that even the colored portions are muted, de-saturated a bit. It's a pleasing image.

Partially coloured b&w's are always difficult to create effectively but I have to agree with Laurent. This is done with taste and knowledge and it's indeed because of those muted colours that this works so well.

It is very well done, Giuseppe.Not only because of the subdued baloons colors on B/W, ( technically well done) but it has the atmospher of coming holidays, and economical situation, which will be subdued for so many people in the world. I don't know if this was your aim, but that was my added impression .
