Very gracefully done and I like the empty space in the direction of her gaze. The tones are very good too. Hope to see more of your work in this area.

My friend wanted a self-reflection piece. She also wanted me to not

center her but have her on the edge of the frame so following my friend's

advice, this shot was created. I used very little light, only one diffused

light on her so that I was able to get an image where she seems very

much alone and in the dark.

The sepia monochrome works well on this image. You convey the model deep in thought with much ahead for her. Very well done.

Very nice. The negative space to the left gives it a depth of space for which her thoughts can waft out silently. Tones are nice. I cannot tell what is resting on her leg and find it a bit distracting. But that's minor.

Overall a very nice shot. I would have moved the framing a bit further over so that her spine was right along the edge of the picture. I also might have tried draping her hair down her back instead of around her neck, or at least made sure it was combed and neat looking.

A lovely image. I might lose the light spot that seems to drip off her nose in order to complete her wonderful profile. A good image. Best Regards.

First I thank all of you that have taken the time to comment on my photo! It means alot to me especially since I am new at this and just learning.

To David- There is nothing resting on her jeans. Those are holes with frayed ends.

The model wanted an edgier, messy look which is why her hair is far from perfect and though you might not be able to tell she has no makeup on too.

 

Obviously I hope that I will continue to grow and learn and hopefully one day be as good as you guys are!
