Excellent shot. The nuns, shadows, water, architecture and cobblestones all combine to make a beauty. Superb composition and very well taken. 7/7 Best wishes - Sekhar

Ti ho conosciuto di persona altrimenti con tutti questi scatti "preteschi" avrei pensato fossi Ratzinger sotto mentite spoglie. BRAVO!

Awesome light and details, Giuseppe!! There should be some moving space to the left of this image for the moving subjects, two nuns, I suppose? Thanks for your kind visit!

Warm regards, Rakesh.

this afternoon I decided to delete the previous photo post (and the relative comments that were among the most dear to my heart) after some very low ratings w/out a line of explanation. This is the first time I do it, and I am sorry, but imho this photo didn't deserve 3/3's at all. This said I thank you very much for your support and honest criticism, Rakesh , technically speaking you are right: the nuns are a bit too much on the left side, and this is due to the fact that I caught the camera and shot in a hurry. I shot once, and this is the result. Alas, I couldn't call them back and ask for another shot, this is the street, these are the rules: no posing, no good lights, no magic effects. I hope that their walk toward the light will be a successful one. Please excuse me for this long comment and be sure of my appreciation and interest in your beautiful posts, Giuseppe

Very nice play of light and shadow, the juxtaposition of the nuns here is good . I like as well the fountain's freeze of water. nice work

backlit shots are always fun to make. To produce one of this quality however takes a great amount of technical skill which you prove to posess in abundance. From a compositional point of view I myself think that those nuns could hardly have been positioned any better. For me this looks very balanced and even adds to the "drama" here. Having said that I think that a tighter crop with less sky would have looked even more impressive but essentialy that's just nitpicking on a truelly impressive work of art.

In my opinion, everything is at the right place there, to get the effect of the shadows on the floor.

Very good picture.

I think they are Indian nuns, this makes the picture even more special.
