kellanv 0 Posted July 26, 2008 I like the overall idea behind the composition. One thing that keeps it from grabbing me is the lack of details and the overall "flat" feel. It seems to me like an attempt was made to try to create a sense of space and depth, but I'm not convinced that it has been successfully done. I think that a good adjustment would be to vary the lighting much more from disc to disc. Certain subjects would not be as lit, as well as the lighting source would cause them to cast sorts of shadows on eachother and themselves. If you also notice, the specular highlights on the edge also conflict due to the fact in a real situation they would be located in different locations and variations. I would also love to see a lot more detail on the earth below, and less gray areas on top. On an image like this, more detail throughout would be welcome (think maximum depth of field, not isolation) Hope I was at all helpful. -K Link to comment
