LindaM 2 Posted July 24, 2008 gotta love that institution green! this chair looks like it just walked off the elevator Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 24, 2008 Yeah, lovely color isn't it? I have darkened the whole scene just a bit, but it really was that puke green color. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted July 25, 2008 color and light superb David...a funny one as I still wonder how this came and was left in front of the elevator entrance...a kind of unfinished or on the way job.. or someone would like to block and reserve the elevator for his own purpose....you know I am a fan of this little daily life things when colors work together and the little story is there... bosshogg 4 Posted July 26, 2008 I think the question here is whether you were here because you needed the thorazine, or if being here caused the need for it. Do hope you've found yours by now. Pnet has enough raving mad folks without putting your name on the list. :) Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 26, 2008 Thanks a lot. I don't know the story. I'm assuming the elevator was broken, and the chair was placed there to keep folks from getting on it. But you would think a sign might be in order. No matter. It provided photo fodder for me, and that always pleases me. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 26, 2008 The logic explanation is for sure present,...but the funny situation, also hinted by your good title is another story., The nice green color, light, exposure, the photo of landscape on the wall on the R, are all adding to my enjoyment. Very David Meyer.... Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 26, 2008 Indeed, it is a sight like this that makes my day. There is no need to set shots up, because they occur naturally all around us. Take care my dear friend. Link to comment
maggies 0 Posted July 26, 2008 Looks like like this chair is on the way out. Certainly the rest of the place is! Marjorie Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 26, 2008 Come on now! This chair is just getting broken in. And the green, why that should be a hot color in another twenty years. lol Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted July 26, 2008 Yes,of course, the image made me smile. But in any case, I like the composition and shades of green. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 26, 2008 Thanks for the look. Hope all is well in your part of the world. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted July 26, 2008 David, not at all. Everything has gone haywire here. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 27, 2008 The very image of the over-stuffed chair, much too bulky to climb stairts and from the look of it, it's an iffy proposition whether he'll even be able to shoe horn himself into the elevator. I'm going on a lot about a chair, but I guess that's the way a good photo sets the neurons to twirling. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 27, 2008 But maybe they are onto something and just need to think this out a bit. Now wouldn't nice comfy chairs be sweet in elevators? Yeah, I'd like to go up and down while reading the morning paper in a big overstuffed........ Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted July 27, 2008 The colors are just wonderful as is the composition too. This time the barrel distortion makes wonders on the overall inviting effect of that easychair. I'm glad you captured this odd but seemingly practical set-up. Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted July 28, 2008 My first thought was that this was a large personality trying to fit into a world too small. The color scheme is unique, offering a somewhat sterile, otherworldly quality to the scene. Inquiring minds want to know, did the chair make it? Or was it forced to take the stairs? Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 28, 2008 I am on the road, and had to work on this with a laptop that has a really crappy screen. It does not have my distortion fixing software loaded, so i could not work on it well. But then I made the decision that the barrel distortion kind of fit the image. That chair has the power to bend things around it. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 28, 2008 All I can tell you is this is what I found when I walked into the building, and after returning an hour and a half later, it was still lodged in the same place. Maybe this is the entrance to the Rapture machine, and I just wasn't one of those who were allowed entry. Oh well. Link to comment
alight 0 Posted July 28, 2008 well, I could see a beauty with invisible clothes sitting teasingly in the armchair and holding a bottle of V8. You know, you shouldn't move furniture in places that don't belong to you... :-) Cheers, Micheal Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 28, 2008 Weird is what I love. And it's so easily discovered wherever humans tread. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted July 28, 2008 I like your concept. Now if I can just find a babe..... Link to comment
