It's almost excellent! Trouble I have is I see some things which to me cry out for improving! That blown highlight on the wood at the bottom of the image (less so the one beyond) could be fixed. Again, at the bottom of the image, the painted panels either side of the doorway look different and the lighting overall doesn't explain why this is. The whole image appears to tilt to the right.

I still like this image, and I appreciate the difficulties in getting all the elements of light & geometry just perfect!

Excellent composition and color, good geometrics. Some sort of HDR or blending seems to have been used, it works very well. Kudos to the interior designer as well.

I agree with Peter, that blown highlight at the end where your eye tends to go is not good. I don't really see any HDR effect and if it was used it was used well except for that last window!

Thank you Peter, Les and Robert. No HDR or blending are used. Just a little shadow/highlight. I agree with Peter, I have to fix the blown highlight on the wood at the botton of the image.

Robert, do you think the window in the back is too light or what?

Brian, I was thinking of saying something about the window but I thought I'd shut up before you got annoyed with me ;-))

I don't think the eye is drawn to the details of the window, the eye is naturally drawn in to the picture as a whole by the window which is how it should be.

If you could darken the window it may enhance the image. It's definitely a photograph that will reward time spent on it, bring it to perfection!

Thank you, Peter. I'll try to to make the image perfect. I have already sold it to use in a book.

I have uploaded another image of the same subject. What do you think about that?

Brian, the light is probably better in the other picture but I far prefer the actual composition in this one. Congratulations on the book-cover sale!
