Large winter swell in diffuse afternoon light. This is why I really

wanted a zoom lens. Comments welcome.

Powerful capture. IMO, cropping out the sea on the top would significantly enhance the strength and originality of the composition. Well done!

Kurt, Kaboom! How the ground must have shook. I love moments like these. Lovely translucent greens through the surf. Don't crop; the background gives it perspective. You can hang this shot in my home and I won't even charge you. Regards, Bernie

Nassos and Bernhardt, thank you for your comments. I agree that the small area of sea at the very top somewhat diminishes the impact but I wanted to leave it in for this posting because I was not sure how to handle altering it. As with many of my images, I hesitate to crop, but I always appreciate input from others about that.

I like it, I might suggest a wider aperture for a sharper shot maybe f11 or 16 at most, at f22 you are losing sharpness due to diffraction and your DOF does not require f22 here, just a thought

Well. This is much better. Very nice capture and beautiful image. Detail, color, composition is perfect.
