This is a very attractive image.  However, I would like to suggest some improvements, INMHO, to enhance the photo.

I took about two minutes in PSP X3 to do some local tone-mapping, color balance, digital camera noise removal, sharpening,  fill-flash and levels adjustment. The results are shown above...

This is intended only to let you see another approach, and the result, so that you can consider whether or not you feel that might be useful to you in the future.

Dave. Thank you very much for a constructive and very helpful critique. I'm quite sure I did postprocessing in GIMP which has some limitations. I had as far I can remember problems to lighten dark parts. Noise didn't worried me too much but I must agree with you that your version is much more spohisticated. And I'm glad even more for the reason you have browsed my portfolio.

I'll return to yours as often I could to admire real work of art. Thanks again, cheers, VS
