Perfect. Absolutely precise placement of elements again betraying your background in painting. Your latest work is among your best, I think.

I've run out of wonderful ways to say things about your work, Jeff. Brilliant, fantastic, bravo just don't do it. How about "keep it up" because I love visiting your holding tank? Cheers

Perhaps it is the fish who thinks that Jonah is the "fish" in the bowl. Beautiful rendition with the fish acting as a host taking us into this enchanting world beneath the surface. The blue and green tones impart a sense of serenity that seems inviting. If this fish could talk I would love to hear its thoughts. The expression is engaging.

Aesthetic and funny....in one word entertaining...what more can I ask...I enjoy the visit Jeff and thank you for that (just wish I had more time to contribute both with more comment and more images)...I'll do my best...

Great use of deep colors to offset the silvery quality of the fish. A very expressive fish photo. There's something quite magical about this. You are able to put yourself into images such as this to the extent that they take on a real personality. That's a very admirable quality. Your creativity is apparent in the composition, presentation, and the very idea.

Jack: Thanks. Photography is still my methadone to painting, so I'm glad this called up images of brushes, canvases, and tubes of color.

Michael: I've learned from watching your work that photographic miracles sometimes need a little coaxing. I'm glad you like it.

Alberta: So many adjectives to describe your compliment. Sweet, generous, and appreciated.

Adan: This was taken at the aquarium in Monterey. I love the dopey look on the fish, bored to tears watching tourists with their hands pressed against the glass.

Joseph P: Thanks for your nice words.

Doug: I'm glad you like it. As you know, low light photos aren't always successful. I still have to try the HDR approach you recommended.

Marta: Thanks for using the word "original," which is hard to accomplish with a fish.

A.K.: I'm always grateful when you stop by.

Cherlyn: The fish was certainly in his own world. I'm always surprised that these fish don't watch back. I suspect the world outside the tank doesn't hold much promise.

Paula: Thanks so much!

Mehmet: Grateful, I appreciate your comment.

Tero: Speechless? Hardly. You always have a nice thing to say.

Laurent: I'm glad this entertains. Time is a precious commodity, and I appreciate you stopping by when you can. I try to do the same.

Catalin: Hi! Thanks for your comment.

Kaushik: I'm glad you liked this one.

David: He isn't a pigeon, but he definitely has a criminal air about him.

Umair: Haven't seen you around in awhile. Good to have you back.

Fred: Thanks for your thoughts. I hope this has a little spark to it. I don't have the time lately to labor over photos as I'd like, so I was afraid this had a rushed feel to it.

Adela: Thanks for your sweet compliment.

I've photographed in the Monterey Aquarium before, and it's no easy task. As stated before your composition is quite special, and I think the deep green and blue hues make it a visually attractive piece. As for that dopey looking fish, I think he knows more than he's letting on.
