Both expressions are timeless. The hair might be a little distracting, but not too much because baby is grasping it.

I think it's great. It has a really nice sense of casual intimacy. Not pretentious or stilted, and really honest.

I like the placement of the two faces and the comparison of profiles. The expressions are nice too. A great shot.

Now this is a newborn shot! The kid looks carefree and mom looks like she could use some sleep. Both hands show emotional/physical connection. Her hair is in her eyes. She probably didn't even take notice to you aproaching her with your camera! In twenty years, this is what you give her when he's 15 and raising hell just to remind her not to kill him. This is truly wonderful. Cute kid too :-)
