Spooky?

borniet

Used a tripod, set the shutterspeed at 6 seconds, and used the timer. When the shutter was open, I counted to 3, and got up and walked away. I think I should've gotten up sooner...

Was just a try-out with a longer shutterspeed. Some people like it alot, some dislike it alot, what do you think, and why?

The face is not well exposed and lacks expression. The color is off due to the long exposure. The background is cluttered.

It's an interesting experiment, but one that "went wrong".

I don't get why it's spooky. It looks like a fairly straightforward basic shot to me. I hope you don't think I'm being unkind. Thanks for the opportunity to think about this and comment.

First of all, it wasn't as spooky as it was intended to be. One thing that makes it a bit spooky is the pillow that you can see through my leg. And you can see me standing up very vagely. Another thing is, which of course no one here can know, is that behind the couch, there is a large window, and there is nowhere in that neighborhood a clock (the one you can see in the left upper corner). The clock is a reflection in the glass from the other wall (should've turned the light of). BTW: your comment is appreciated, and not at all taken in a bad way. I post my pictures here to learn something from the comments, not to have reactions like 'simply great !' (althought that might be nice for a change:-) ). I think it is even a pitty that so many pictures posted don't get any comments at all.

I came from another pic to this folder. That one I choose for a closer look. Sure, it is only a person sitting there. But that's in turn is exactly the point. I like it. Pictures like that make me think for a second.
