jan_piller 0 Posted January 13, 2007 This one has more impact! I love how he's looking at her! Link to comment
scot_cross 0 Posted January 13, 2007 I like this too, but I feel it is missing the special something that makes you feel the photo. I like the way hes looking at her and she is cute but seems little self consciouses or something. Maybe a connection of the hands or eyes to show the feeling. Also softer light. Shes pretty make her feel it. Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 13, 2007 Thank you to both of you gentlemen for your comments. It is so hard to get anybody to take the time and effort to do that. Jan thanks for your patience at reviewing this photo. I was very embarassed to see how badly I had screwed it up before. I did not have my monitor set right, and still am only guessing. But I have order calibration materials to try and get it straight. Cheers to both of you. Link to comment
daviddbfotoart 0 Posted January 15, 2007 It seems very flat, both tonally and lighting. What technique do you use to create your B&W? Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted January 15, 2007 I used two floods, one set to each side. It was a very poor lighting setup, as I do not nomally do studio type work. I was not happy at all with the shoot, but I did really like the exspression in Mike's face, so I put it up. It was taken in black and white mode with the D200, a mistake I would probably not repeat. Also was taken as JPEG, which probably should have been RAW. In short, it certainly is not my best work. Thanks for looking and commenting. Cheers. Link to comment

bosshogg 4 Posted January 14, 2008 Thanks again. Ratings wise this didn't do too well, but you are right, that Mike's expression is a natural. Christine, on the other hand, looks a bit apprehensive. But I probably would too, if I were days away from having a kid! Link to comment
