photo? You call this beautiful image of a wonderfully composed woman a "photo". Please, if this is your (and your model's) creation, don't refer to it as a "photo". Have respect for your work and your subject. Meanwhile, please continue your wonderful photography. Cliff Coles

With some portraits of women sometimes I worry I like the pic just because the woman is pretty but this is a lovely photo with excellent dof, I love the blur on that background and the colour is perfect, nice lighting. Great example of a studio portrait. Like the other chap said though, could have had a better title!

I am speechless. It's so beautiful it hurts! This is the best image on the Forum today. One critique though: it looks like the knuckle of the hand resting on her thigh is a bit blur. Did you do some (bad) Photoshop-ing? Please, correct it!

Excellent lighting. Perfect background selection. The image is soft, yet crisp; a perfect balance. I'm sure this lovely lady is very happy with the portrait.

How wonderful to see a classically beautiful, sophisticated and elegant portrait in the sea of overtly post processed, dark ones. Fantastic.

this image is incredible, such a perfection in every senses! Just another class of art through photography. Chapeau for you.

Although technically attractive, this "photograph" is trying too hard to be a painting. Poses similar to this one are found in museums everywhere realist painting is shown. Painters must settle their models in poses that require multiple sittings. There is no "moment" in painting, Just a lot of time trying to see the model, working slowly as the process dictates. It is important that the model be comfortable and in a pose easy to repeat. Of course none of that applies to photography, where the moment rules. All this makes me wonder why you chose such a classic pose when you might have revealed something more unique of her character by just letting her be herself in the moment. The hands seem placed, instead of naturally expressing something about the character. The posture is stiff ,seeming forced and unnatural. I think the benefit of photography is in the spontaneity it captures. I don't see that here.
