stett 0 Posted April 27, 2006 nice composition, and works well in black and white. however it could have benifited from a greater aspect of contrast Link to comment

brendan_hohls 0 Posted May 8, 2006 Hi Tanya The off-vertical composition and your leaning pose makes this a very dynamic image. It leads to a lot of mystery and a desire to see more. Well done. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 0 Posted May 15, 2006 A very unusual self-portrait, it seems the camera is seeing you in a detached way - subjective to itself but objective of you ... yet it was you who took the photograph! It gives the impression of someone half-asleep or drunk trying to find their way to the bathroom and suddenly coming across this strange enigmatic figure blocking their way. What is she doing there? Is she coming or going? Do I know her? What is she expecting me to do? Is she real or am I just imagining her? Maybe it should be interpreted as a statement of how little we all know of our true selves. Best wishes, Jonathan Link to comment
tanyatruong 0 Posted May 16, 2006 That is a very interesting translation of my self-portrait Johnathan. Your thinking and writing give me the impression that you are deep,well-thought and philosophical if not most of the time. I would like to invite you to read the teaching of a famous ancient Chinese philosopher named Zhuangzi. My favorite book: "Zhuangzi speaks: The Music of Nature." Moreover, i am overwhelmingly delighted that you have visited my page many times. As a novice, I feel honored to have someone of talent like you being genuiningly interested in my artwork. Your interest help to reinforce me that i should pursue photography futher. warm regards, tanya. Link to comment
