This is a low-light, hand-held grab - is the background too

distracting? Any other thoughts?

Interesting, pleasant, dreamy photograph, really very nice. I don't like to be a "cropping cop" but just cutting off the background to the left might help a lot.

I'm always appreciative of cropping suggestions, and had been thinking about that one already. Here's the crop - which I think does strengthen it. Would anyone crop deeper?

I think I like this one to have more space. His eyes are looking upwards and so I want a bit of an idea of what he might be looking at. Although, he is not really looking at anything, perhaps, just wishing on a star. Wondering what he did that was so wrong.

I like the blue/red colors to get my eye moving around the frame without being carried or led out of the picture. Nice capture.

He's looking in a fishtank at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. Yes, either more room, especially on the right and up top, or perhaps a couple of fish near the glass would be good to see. In the absence of more room all around, I do like the tight crop better than unbalanced room.

 

 

 

I like the tighter crop better because it eliminates the bars or whatever in the background on the left that distracts me immediately. With the tighter crop, my eyes are only on the boy's face(s). Cute shot, Sam! You haven't been posting much lately???

No, I haven't been posting nearly enough, or taking enough pictures - I need a vacation!

I saw you had commented on a photo of mine a long time ago and.

I gave up on this sight as it seemed harder for me to be in real contact with people. I guess I will try again for a while.
