sammm 0 Posted August 30, 2005 This is a low-light, hand-held grab - is the background too distracting? Any other thoughts? Link to comment
bill_t__new_mexico_ 0 Posted August 30, 2005 Interesting, pleasant, dreamy photograph, really very nice. I don't like to be a "cropping cop" but just cutting off the background to the left might help a lot. Link to comment
sammm 0 Posted August 30, 2005 I'm always appreciative of cropping suggestions, and had been thinking about that one already. Here's the crop - which I think does strengthen it. Would anyone crop deeper? Thanks. Link to comment
bgelfand 1,255 Posted October 29, 2005 Beautiful picture, Sam; nice capture of the expression on his face. I do like your cropped version better. Link to comment
mmmee 0 Posted January 5, 2006 Hi Sam, I think I like this one to have more space. His eyes are looking upwards and so I want a bit of an idea of what he might be looking at. Although, he is not really looking at anything, perhaps, just wishing on a star. Wondering what he did that was so wrong. I like the blue/red colors to get my eye moving around the frame without being carried or led out of the picture. Nice capture. Link to comment
sammm 0 Posted January 5, 2006 He's looking in a fishtank at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga. Yes, either more room, especially on the right and up top, or perhaps a couple of fish near the glass would be good to see. In the absence of more room all around, I do like the tight crop better than unbalanced room. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted July 11, 2006 I like the tighter crop better because it eliminates the bars or whatever in the background on the left that distracts me immediately. With the tighter crop, my eyes are only on the boy's face(s). Cute shot, Sam! You haven't been posting much lately??? Link to comment
sammm 0 Posted July 11, 2006 No, I haven't been posting nearly enough, or taking enough pictures - I need a vacation! Link to comment
connie_gordon 0 Posted September 2, 2006 I love this shot. I saw you had commented on a photo of mine a long time ago and. I gave up on this sight as it seemed harder for me to be in real contact with people. I guess I will try again for a while. c.g. Link to comment
