rayn
I'm seriously thinking about getting this camera as a replacement for my Olympus Stylus Epic (it's for sale on ebay by the way). That black one is cool! I'm wondering: 1) When you switch the flash to off mode, does it remember that setting after switching the camera off? 2) How does image quality compare to the S400? 3) Is there anything that bugs you after using this camera for a while? Thank you!
raymond_wong7
In Manual mode if you switch the flash off it stays off even after powering down and back up. As for image quality it is about the same as the S400 and will focus and shoot a bit faster too due to the constant 2.8 and the lack of a zoom. Of course the small size is great I find myself carrying it everywhere. Don't forget to get a second battery. Battery life seems to be shorten considerable due to the lack of a viewfinder and the use of the LCD display more often.
john_mccormack
Is the lack of a viewfinder a problem? Does the LCD screen need to 'refresh' its display when panning the camera or is this a non-issue? How is shutter lag with and without pre-focusing (half pressing the shutter release)? phule
<< Does the LCD screen need to 'refresh' its display when panning the camera or is this a non-issue? >> What do you mean by this? The LCD is a live display of whatever you're pointing the camera at.
