helenbach Posted March 6, 2004 Author Share Posted March 6, 2004 Thanks Raid, I've searched eBay for 'rollei' and 'rolleiflex', both current auctions and completed, all countries, all currencies and found no Bay 4 lens hoods. Have I missed something? I've also done google searches and only found dealers who will order them - but Rollei don't appear to be fulfilling any orders and they aren't giving delivery dates. I wonder if they've either not made them yet, or didn't make enough. If it was the latter, I would expect to see them on eBay at scary prices. Whatever the reason, it makes Rollei look incompetent. Here is another lead: www.robertwhite.co.uk They are advertising a Rollei Bayonet IV metal lens hood for Wide TLR for 160 pounds (converts to US$295 according to their website conversion program). I have read much about them and am actually trying to buy a Bay III lens hood from them right now. Will let you know my actual experience with them. helenbach Posted March 8, 2004 Author Share Posted March 8, 2004 I assume that the old Rolleiwide hood would fit the new body, but the 4.0 FW has a 50 mm lens and the old one has a 55 mm lens - so I have no idea whether or not the old hood would cause cut-off. However, thanks to Adrian's suggestion, a new hood should be on its way from Robert White - who had one in stock. I've dealt with them before, and always been impressed with their service.
