jbs
>>>>John Falkenstine , feb 28, 2004; 02:35 p.m. "Fine Art Photograph" sounds like a good marketing term to me. Can probably find good usage on the Home Shopping Network. I notice that they have a lot of fine art jewelry, fine art wristwatches and such..I think this term automatically entitles you to charge more for what is really a total piece of crap.<<<<<< Good one John...Sorry I missed it the first time....;)...J
hans_beckert
Anyone who calls his work 'fine art photography' is trying desperately to cover up the fact that it is, in John Falkenstine's words, 'really a total piece of crap'.
andrew_somerset1
On that note, I'm glad to see you've finally posted some fine art, Hans.
everitt
According to Hans, fine art is anything shot with K25 on a Leica. Doesn't matter if the pic induces an emotional response or is brilliantly creative, if it's not taken with a Summicron, it's not art according to Hans! In all seriousness, art is in the eye of the beholder and transcends all attempts to pigeonhole it.
