matt_m__toronto_ Posted November 6, 2003 Share Posted November 6, 2003 i'm stuck on these two images. i like how in this picture, the group of scalpers are totally unaware of my existance, yet the man outside the ring has this cold stare right down the lens. not that great of a pic imo, but the stare is what keeps me coming back. thoughts? The first one is very strong - a classic street photograph for just the reasons you stated. The second photo is pedestrian (please pardon the unintentional pun) but by no means a tosser. ray . Posted November 6, 2003 Share Posted November 6, 2003 As part of a group in context or in a photo story, the first one might be OK. As a single photo, it's borderline. The second is a tosser... nothing wrong with it, just not enough going on. Both should be of value to you in that everything you shoot that approaches success is a step in learning how to be discerning in shooting and editing.
