tony_salce
Thanks again to those who responded to my questions concerning the 2.8C and the Rolleiflex T. I ended up getting the 2.8C. It felt better in my hands than the T, plus it was cheaper. The T was in prisine condition. The 2.8C in excellent condition. I sent it off for a CLA and the repair person said it was in fine condition optically and mechanically. With a CLA he said it would be good for the next 30 years. Thanks again for your advice. Much appreciated. Best wishes, Tony Salce
nick roberts
Well done. The 2.8C is ultimately a better picture-taking machine. Enjoy it!
kaiblanke
Enjoy it, Tony. Just get yourself some Provia or Velvia and get blown away by the results !
harry_zet
and look for a rolleigrid or the same item auctioned on the big site - will improve brightness in the corners considerably.
tito sobrinho
Excellent decision. You will be very happy with the C and it will be a wonderful complement to the M5.
lex_jenkins
You'll definitely enjoy that Rollei. My 2.8C is one of the few cameras I've owned that I enjoy handling just for the pleasure of the thing. Most cameras I regard as tools. The Rollei is an objet d'art as well. Unfortunately, that very quality is what's made me a bit lustful for a baby grey Rollei after recently handling one a friend showed up with at a camera show. john_philllips
Adding to the congrats. Thought enough of my 2.8C/Xenotar to have it cosmetically spruced up a bit, new leather, some new chrome bits and a CLA. It is a wonderful camera, better built and better glass than the T. Enjoy. pensacolaphoto
Hi John, I have a 2.8C which needs new leather for the front of the camera. How do I go about having such a repair? Thanks.
rolleiflex users
Dear Tony, Go to www.collectcamera.com There you can find a lot of brand new spare leather parts for your camera. The owner is from the Netherlands and is a very realiable person. With the new leather part in your hand you can send the camera to your repair shop.
