rothelle
I'm looking for new times for a starting point of Tri-X new films. I use Kodak HC-110. I'm into the Zone System and I will not have time to test my film until the end of Sept. I'm out of the USA for now. I rate my film ISO 200;) Do not reply with other developer and times. I'm only into using HC-110. And I don't care about other film. Just read what I wrote. Kodak Tri-X rated @ ISO200 with Kodak HC-110;) Thank. john_stockdale2
If you're into the zone system, you have no choice but to test. I would guess that exposing at 200 is going to be close to what zone system testing would produce. So when you get back home, do your tests first and then develop the films you've brought back with you. Then tell us how it went.
James G. Dainis
What does it say in the blurb sheet in/on the box? I used to rate 320 Tri-X sheet film at 160 and develop normally (as per blurb sheet time)in HC-110 (unless doing N+ or N-). I liked the results I got. You may prefer a thinner or denser negative. That is subjective and up to you. Like the man said, you will have to try it yourself. James G. Dainis
ralph_ballerstadt2
Try 6 to 7 min at 75 C at a dilution of 1:40 with two to three initial tank inversions, and then gentle rolling motion every minute.
