riley_mcdowall1
I know this has been beaten to death in the forum, but I need to get a few things straight before I buy film here in Canada for my honeymoon: 1> Kodak's 400 High Definition is apparently not yet (?) available here in Canada, yet Royal Gold 400 is still on the shelves. It's been established that these films are one and the same but I want to make sure this applies to Canadian stock as well. Incidentally, the film is ridiculously cheap - about $4CDN a roll at my local drug store. 2> How does this film print on Fuji papers? 3> These are going to be snapshots but I'd like a few 8x10s too. Am I going to gain anything by shooting Gold 100 or Reala instead? Subjects will be a mix of deliberate scenics, portraits, and touristy crap. Thanks guys! -Riley
Michael R Freeman
Kodak's 400 High Definition is apparently not yet (?) available here in Canada
I'm pretty sure I have seen HD400 at Walmart here in Nova Scotia. I suspect the drug store stuff is older stock. No matter, HD400 IS RG400 in a different box.
r.t. dowling
It looks "ok" on Fuji paper. Not great, but not terrible. Kodak Royal paper is a better bet if you can find a lab that uses it.
