Hi All

Does anyone know if there is a diffrence

between Sinar Norma and Sinar P 8X10 Bellows in terms of fitting

as i am looking for Norma Version or some that would fit but have

seen some SinarP ones for sale an i am wondering will they fit the

Norma

thanks

I have a Sinar C and have a Norma shutter and it works fine, and I've been TOLD that all accessories are interchangeable, but I have no specific experience to relate. I have an 8x10 bellows but I don't even know if it is Norma or more recent. Call Sinar Bron in NJ. The 800 directory would have a listing. They are very helpful and should know something like that.

I have allready a complete 10x8 Norma just only with 10x8 wide angle bellows but really wondered if the SinarP normal tapered 10x8 bellows would really fit are the fittings the same on the bellows (Pversion)plastic mountings at each end or are they totaly different to the Norma

Thanks

THEY DO NOT FIT INTERCHANGEABLY. I just had to shout! I have a f2 in 8x10 and I have had to turn down many a great del on the old norman accessories like the reduction backs and the bag bellows because they do not fit. I gave up on ebay because there is confusion and you are not going to be sure unless you actually try the item. Now I am going to throw another curve into thai because there is also a diference between the metered standard and the non metered standard in the Sinar 8x10 (P and F1 F2 use the same standard, different bases, I hav the f2 and really like it, no field camera, the arca swiss is a fantastic field camera, that's a whole 'nother story) the metered standard has a little access door on the side to allow the probe of a light meter to get in on the film palne in front of the ground glass. the bellows are differnt as to having the knotch to allow this.

The Sinar Norma and the Sinar P, C , and S (very weird camera,

made for copy work it has no rear tilt or shift) are

NON-METERING BACK cameras.

The P2 and the C2 and the F2 8x10's are METERING BACK

cameras.

Reducing backs, bellows, and the 8x10 reflex viewer interchange

between the Norma and P/C series cameras.

The curve is some later P style reducing backs will not fit the

norma because they do not have spring locks that the Norma

requires. The P cameras have slide locks on the standards-early

P backs are Norma style painted black.

The other curve, is that the Norma 8x10 bellows frame is a

slightly different shape than the later P style, and altough it will

work it won't work as well as a Norma style bellows (or so I have

heard....)

Just try to get a return privledge.......it should work.
