Scanning and printing from a Digital Print

I frequently scan and print copies and enlargements from my color

prints. I have the option of getting my film developed and then

printed either optically or digitally. Is there any difference in

output quality when scanning and printing from digital vs optical

prints?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "optical" prints vs. digital ones. If you mean traditional processes (enlargers and such), then yes, there is a difference, but how much and what exactly the changes are depend a lot on the process and the processor. Print the same couple slides both ways and compare? Good luck.
