anna_case
I'm a photography student at SUNY Purchase and I'm interested in learning the Collodion process. I'm looking for a photographer or someone who is knowledgeable of the process that is in NYC to possibly take the time to teach me the process. Any information would be a great help. Thanks! psychophoto
Sally Mann comes to mind. She talks about it in an interview here. There should be a lot of other resources out there on the process, but this is just the one that came to me immediately. Hope this helps a little. agustin barrutia
Anna. The book "Coming Into Focus" Edited By Barnier haves a full chapter dedicated to the process (wet plate photography, tintypes and ambrotypes I think). And you can download the online version of a XIXth centuty book here: http://www.hti.umich.edu/cgi/t/text/text-idx?c=moa;idno=AEL5141 The link goes to the Mathew Carey´s book about the wet plate process and other intersting data (lenses, cameras, and other stuff from 1860´s).
