tjwspm
Owning a Minox and holding it in your hands is a very special feeling. It was designed to be concealed in the closed hand. But personally, I don’t want to own a Minox just to hold it in my hand. I want it to work. And here the difficulties begin. Minox in the 8×11 film format have not been manufactured for a long time. So you can only buy them used or as new old stock. But no matter whether used or never used, the functionality of the cameras can be limited or even non-existent simply due to the age of the cameras. Oils, plastic, rubber and electronic components lose their properties over time. But it is not difficult at all to check the functionality of a Minox that is offered for sale. You just have to know how to do it. It’s quick and requires no tools. You can find my detailed instructions for testing Minox A IIIs, B, BL, LX and EC here: https://moments-of-now.com/checking-out-a-minox-a-b-bl-lx-ec/ Moments-of-Now.com Photography, Philosophy and Time

tjwspm
1 hour ago, MTC Photography said: https://bluemooncamera.com/pricing Yes, my first Minox film was from Bluemoon. It turned out to be a Kodak Ektar 100. In the meantime I bought a film slitter, this one: https://www.camerhack.it/product/mnmnx/ This means I can slit 135 films in daylight. This works well. There is also an insert for 16 mm. I use it for my Mamiya super 16. Moments-of-Now.com Photography, Philosophy and Time
