james_barber4
Hello, I've come across a Voitlander Vitessa with the barn doors and it has a frame spacing issue. The images aren't overlapping, but there is no space between the frames. Is this something that can be fixed and if so, who would you recommend? It's not that that big a deal, I just have to be careful cutting negatives, but it is annoying and I worry that it's going to get worse and start overlapping. So who works on a Vitessa for a CLA and repair?
chuck_foreman1
Sorry apparently no one has the experience or a tip on how this can be rectified. I suppose having it repaired will just not make senst. I do believe though any experience camera technician can likely resolve the problem, the do not have to be a Voigtländer specialist. I assume you'Ve Google the problem outside of this forum? Good Luck!
bruce_z._li2
There are a few camera technicians who like a good challenge, for example Dan Daniel, who recently CLA'd my Voigtlander Superb TLR. So maybe you want to send an inquiry to him? I have a Vitessa barndoor with Ultron lens, luckily CLA'd by its previous owner two decades ago. It still performs perfectly today. It's a jewel to behold and it produces wonderful images.
james_barber4
Yeah, I've googled pretty deep, I've found a few repair guides and manuals, but its not something I want to delve into just yet. Rather send it to someone who knows what they are doing. Thanks for the suggestion Bruce, I will contact him and see what he says.

I've had cameras fixed then found further problems when they came back.
john_shriver
Are the exposed frames spaced every 8 sprockets? In that case, the film gate is just too large. But if it's less than 8 sprockets, yeah there's a film transport issue.
