Mark Keefer Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 Happy Thursday, July 6, 2023, to all Canon Shooters and Photography enthusiasts. Once again it is time for this week's Canon Photo Thursday. For those in the States, hope you had a great 4th of July Holiday. Everyone, I hope you choose to share a few of your photos with us. It doesn't matter if your camera or photos are new or old, it is all good. Let's inspire each other and possibly inspire future generations. This is your chance to share your epic, fun, cool, and/or interesting photo with everyone here on PN. Show us your vision, your style, your projects, your travels, adventures, photo missions or just something you shot that captured your fancy. You all know the drill, post one, two, three, or more photos shot from your Canon EOS Camera (SLR or DSLR or Mirrorless. Was your camera made by Canon? If so, post your shots). All are welcome to participate. Late postings are welcome. If you miss Thursday, feel free to add to the thread another day. Looking forward to seeing your shots. Pick up the camera and shoot something. Even if you didn't get out this week, you know you have some blast from the past stashed in your archives. We have a lot of regulars here reading. Jump in and post. Show us your shots. I know with the season everyone can get very busy. I would like to thank everyone who has been sharing in Canon Photo Thursday. It means a lot, making starting this thread every week worth wild. Thank you for your support. As always, I truly appreciate the support of our Canon friends and shooters. It's nice not to be left hanging. Thank you, everyone who has been participating. This week I have been playing with a dark portrait just finished a version of one tonight and we took a drive down the coast on Highway 1, it was a bit foggy between Carmel and Big Sur, still I managed to get a few shots. Canon 5D MK IV 8 1 Cheers, Mark
Sanford Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 I'm going to dedicate a day to using my Canon P&S to see if I can come up with some new material for this thread. BTW, where is that beach with the stairs? Way south of Carmel I guess. 1

Were those stairs built by the park or is it a part of something else. Edited July 6, 2023 by Mark Keefer 1 Cheers, Mark
Sanford Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 I don't recognize that piece of beach above. This is an older photo, Canon SD770. 5
Adrian K Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Nice portrait, Mark! I should do a reshoot myself just to keep in practice! 80D with 70-300 and 5DSr with 24-70 of my friends' travel rig. 5

As far as the portrait, very late night, playing with a DIY soft box light I built using a warm 12VDC LED. G7ess I will have to make a article on it. 1 Cheers, Mark

They're really happy with the RV and have been travelling to Wisconsin and Michigan mainly, from outside of Chicago. They're planning a trip to the northeast in the fall. It's not as roomy as yours but it's only 22' long. I'm anxious to see your soft box. 1

Hey, I have been on that street and that dog looks familiar.😄 The coastline is dynamic and is always changing. I think the tide was out to. I wouldn't doubt you have been there. mikemorrellNL Posted July 14, 2023 Posted July 14, 2023 My very first photos at 'Canon Thursday', please be kind! 1st photo (30 june) a 'Coffee and Music" morning at a local community center. It's not the sharpest photo, but I still like it. Taken with a Canon 6D with a Tamron 24mm - 70mm lens. 2nd photo (9 july) a 'Guitar concert', taken with a Canon 6D and 70mm - 200mm lens. 5
