mikeshoup
What's so special about these things? I picked one up at Goodwill for $1.99 after I read the article here on point and shoots. After looking them up on eBay, it was revealed to me that these things go for a lot. Even the basic T4 (which is what I have) seems to go for $75 minimum. Why they high resale? I'm running a roll of film through it to make sure it works, then I'm seriously considering eBaying the sucker.
bobatkins
For a P&S, the image quality isn't bad.
el_fang
Look up the names "Terry Richardson" and "Jurgen Teller."
el_fang
These are guys that shoot multimillion dollar advertising campaigns for the likes of Gucci and Vogue using this camera ... it's more about the current trends in fashion photography etc. than anything about the camera itself... umesh_bhatt1
for $1.99? i will pay 10 times more if you want to sell it to me. The thing about this little P&S is the lens - Zeiss stopped making them. They are a collectible. Shoot a few rolls of film (esp. B&W) - and remember to turn off the flash. The images are incredible! Great for a street photography tool...
Ian Taylor
Best P&S by far. Glass lens. I have one but don't use it any longer. <p> When I was working in Cambodia in the 90s most of photojournalists I knew had one stuck in their bags next to their EOS 1Vs. They would use it in a pinch and you often couldn't tell difference in image quality from the EOS stuff. You can even shoot E6 with that thing and they come out great. michaelchristensen
I have it too. Great image quality. Goes in the bag, the bag goes to the wedding, and no, you can not tell that the photos were taken with an "inexpensive point and shoot" camera .. The resale value is almost what they went for new. Not bad for a little easy to use camera.
