paulstgeorge
Can anyone (please) identify the camera seen here being used by Picasso in 1930.
JDMvW
Not enough detail for me to identify it, any how. The folding vertical 'tent' to shade the ground glass suggests to me that it is some kind of single lens reflex, perhaps a 6-cm format roll film camera. His hand may be covering the lens? I thought maybe a Reflex-Korelle, but it lacks the distinctive trim of that one. In any case, I don't know the book personally but you might find LINK useful
gary green
It appears to be a Kodak Brownie box camera. He appears to be winding it to the next frame and/or looking at the frame counter window. The front of the camera is facing down. You can see the viewfinder window on the left, the aperture slide in the middle, and the latch on the right (just below his hand). I'd guess a No. 2A Brownie. John Seaman
I agree that it's a box camera, and that he's winding on, watching the red window. There wouldn't be any point in looking down at an SLR screen, with his hand covering the lens.
rodeo_joe1
Nah. It's one of those cigarette rolling machines and he's rolling up his next spliff. 1
