This is the additional weekly image thread for the Nature Forum. While images posted to this thread should still be nature in theme, it may contain a small amount of human-made objects and therefore less restricted than the Monday in Nature threads. The snowy owl (Bubo scandiacus) is an Arctic bird whose range is in the Arctic, Canada and some northern US states along the Canadian border. Somehow this particular individual has been around Cypress, in Orange County in Southern California, just south of Los Angeles since December 27, 2022. Such warm climate is completely out of the snowy owl's normal range. This owl has been hanging around the rooftops in that neighborhood.
