rick_drawbridge
Thank you, Tony and Dave, I never thought to check the CameraQuest site and I was expecting an "09" prefix for Cosina. I'll note it as a Cosina-made lens.
rick_drawbridge
m42dave said : The Pentacon 50/1.8 focuses to 0.33m, making it a versatile standard lens for close-ups. Oddly enough, just yesterday afternoon I was using the Pentacon 50/1.8 (in it's original Meyer-Optik Görlitz Oreston guise), for some botanical work, and I'm looking at the results now. It really is a rather neglected lens, but I use it frequently as it has good resolving power and produces subdued (by today's standards) but very true colour. It can also create lovely OOF backgrounds, despite having only six aperture blades. Here's a sample, straight out of a full-frame Sony digital camera.
