Ricochetrider
Ha ha Sam Excellent point! It could well be totally staged and if it was then I got got. As to “we all have our crosses to bear”, no disagreement from me there.
tholte
What if it’s all tongue in cheek? The beauty of photos, sometimes, is their leaving out context. It’s the viewer who will often supply that. Maybe the subject of the photo is intending satire to begin with? Anyway, we all have our crosses to bear! This guy was not doing any tongue in cheek thing, he was serious. It was a hot day and I saw him unload this cross from his vehicle. He carried/wheeled the cross for a mile or so on a path by the shore of Lake Michigan here in Milwaukee. I followed him until I could get a clean background with no trees, only the lake. I did talk to him when he finished his walk. He had no problems with me photographing him and was a very nice guy. There are good, sincere and decent people of all faiths and ditto that for atheists and agnostics.
Leslie Reid
It strikes me that this puts a whole new spin on the word "crosswalk."
