You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension.

Here's an aerial view of a forest of reindeer lichen on the northern California coast (which brings to mind the advice I've heard for what to do if you get lost in a forest in Iceland: stand up.)

I'm really enjoying your recurring photos of these enormous diverters. Some objects really strike us, There's an old bridge nearby that makes my long suffering wife groan when I pull over again to try 'something different'.

Thanks, Eric. I hesitated for a long time posting industrial landscapes but they're mostly what I'm shooting these days.

The diverters--thanks for letting me know what they are--fascinate me, I've taken hundreds of photos of them. In addition, they vibrate with wonderful long, deep thrums when whacked by 2x4s. They can be played almost like drums or Tibetan singing bowls.

Keep trying "something different" with the bridge, no telling what you'll discover!
