Ricochetrider Posted June 2, 2019 Posted June 2, 2019 Hi everyone. I submitted an image for critique at P.net recently and some the commuters mentioned the image might have commercial potential. This piqued my interest, I must say. BUT never having done this... I'm not sure how to proceed in contacting people to see if they might want to use/buy that image (or maybe others as well). I have a host site, Zenfolio. I could send them an entire gallery of images, OR perhaps link the single image? Or should I email them and simply ask if they normally purchase images to publish them on the web or otherwise? How much would one image be worth in a situation like this? My digital images contain metadata with my name, is that enough to protect me from piracy or unauthorized use of my images? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Thanks!
ruslan Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Sell via stocks. But there is oversupply now. More photos than customers, c'est la vie :(

JDMvW Posted June 27, 2019 Posted June 27, 2019 The danger is that cold contacts can be perceived as intrusive spam, alienating the person you're trying to sell to. Protection of an image from unauthorized use is very difficult.
