rob_ruttan
Hello, My EOS 7D seems unable to autofocus. I don't play around with settings much, but I'm hoping someone csan suggest a fix that doesn't involve an expensive trip to a repair shop; it's well out of warranty. Thanks, Rob
mike_sowsun
Have you tried other lenses to rule out a lens problem? Sometimes the shutter button "half press" AF contacts can get messed up. Does the rear "AF-ON" button work? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/msowsun/Photo17/AF-ON.jpg Another possibility is the actual AF sensors under the mirror at the bottom of the mirror box. They can get dirty and cause AF problems: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/msowsun/Photo17/TS560x560.jpg
rob_ruttan
Well well! The rear AF button does work. I'm sure I'll be back in a week or so with another mundane problem! Thanks!!
