evan_dong1
My Mamiya M645 (original) has seized up on me. I can not get it to crank forward. Its time to have a complete overhaul done. Can anyone recommend a good repair shop beside Mamiya USA? I was quoted $319 for a complete overhaul and that will not include any major parts. Any advice in short of buying another body? colmmccarthy
I was quoted almost exactly the same for my 1000s from my local repair shop. Bought another body instead and sold the other for parts on eBay. Considering you can pick up a body for $150-$200, that would be my advice. huw_finney
As above but.... as it has a 'big' fault it is probably something simple, take the plunge and have a go yourself. Mamiya will sell you any part you need. I got a service manual from Oldtime (er) cameras for 35UKP, the bits inside are quite big and most of it can be got at from the sides. Worst case you will learn something and have loads of spares! Huw
