Leslie Reid Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. The filing system works. The problem is with the person using the filing system. I’ve been casually searching for this image on and off for a couple of months, and was repeatedly perplexed that I couldn’t find it. I use Lightroom, I keyword (relatively) meticulously, and can usually find any image within a few seconds. Not this one. I remembered it had geese in it (keyword: goose), was taken at sunrise (keyword: sunrise), and was at Moonstone Beach (keyword: Moonstone). Nada. Then I was thumbing through some photos last night, and there it was. The problem? I’d keyworded “geese” instead of “goose”, I’d neglected to include “sunrise”, and it was actually from Trinidad State Beach, not Moonstone. Sigh. I’m going to go keyword some photos. 5

Leslie I am glad you found this image to share with us. I like the contrast of the worm sunset reflection on the beach and the cold water. 3
