Leslie Reid Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 You are invited to upload one or more of your landscape photos and, if you’d like, to accompany your image with some commentary: challenges you faced in making the image? your intent for the image? settings? post-processing decisions? why you did what you did? the place and time? or an aspect you’d like feedback on? And please feel free to ask questions of others who have posted images or to join the discussion. If you don’t feel like using words, that’s OK too—unaccompanied images (or unaccompanied words, for that matter) are also very much welcomed. As for the technicalities, the usual forum guidelines apply: files < 1 MB; image size <1000 px maximum dimension. I was going back through my previous landscape posts and realized that there have been only two that showed human influences, so I figured I’d make up for it this week. This is a scan of a half-frame Tri-X negative from my beloved Olympus Pen-FT; Berkeley is in the foreground, SF in the distance. It’s probably the most serene city-scape I’ve made... 5
Norma Desmond Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Well, here's looking at you kid . . . right back at you from the other direction. View from Twin Peaks with San Francisco in the foreground and Berkeley/Oakland across the bay. 5 We didn't need dialogue. We had faces!
Leslie Reid Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 View from Twin Peaks I love it, Fred!

michaellinder Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I openly confess; I have no photos of San Francisco whatsoever. Will you settle for one of the Phoenix area I shot while my plane home was gaining altitude? 5
Vincent Peri Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 I openly confess; I have no photos of San Francisco whatsoever... Hmm... here I am in the San Francisco Zoo... http://bayouline.com/o2.gif 2
JDMvW Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 While I do have San Francisco pictures, St. Louis deserves a cityscape as well. Here is the St. Louis Basilica, St. Louis Arch, and East St. Louis 5

Gary Naka Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 San Francisco Bay and peninsula as seen while taking off from S.F.O. That looks like Honolulu Harbor with Sand Island in the foreground.
Glenn McCreery Posted March 14, 2018 Posted March 14, 2018 (edited) Gary, you are correct. I was on a flight from S.F. To Honolulu and back a few years ago. I did not look closely enough at this photo. Edited March 14, 2018 by Glenn McCreery
