Here are three more from the FED 50, Fomapan 100, medium yellow filter. Scans on Epson V330 using Epson software. Thanks to last week's scanning tips I re-scanned some pictures from this roll and I think the results look a bit crisper.

Still scanning old slides and negs, this one from my teenage days. This was my first enlarger, homemade from an old folding camera and plans in (I think) Popular Mechanics magazine. It worked pretty well mechanically, but the lens was not designed for this use, and the enlargement quality was nothing to write home about.

This picture was made with an Ansco Lancer camera on 127 Ektachrome, home processed. I scanned the superslide with an Epson V700 using the standard mounted slide holder with one of its openings enlarged using a Dremel tool.

Here's the wet side of that first darkroom. Though my camera and enlarger at the time were lame, I think this was a pretty cool darkroom for a kid. (Thanks, Dad!) With a better enlarger, it served me well on into adulthood.

Note the nifty stainless steel print washer with its own water supply, made by my grandfather, a master sheet metal craftsman.

Same camera, film, and scanning setup as previous picture.

Ah, the old darkrooms... Photography really was fun in those days. Now I have a modern, well-equipped darkroom I hardly use... Anyway, I'm getting a few images ready for a local art exhibition, shamefully they will eventually be printed on a big Canon inkjet. Here are a few samples; the camera was a Bronica S2a fitted with a 135mm Nikkor-Q f/3.5 lens, the film was Ilford HP5 Plus developed in PMK Pyro, and the scans are from an Epson V700 Photo using Silverfast SE software.

Ohh Lucky me... I acquired a Flektogon for my Werra. The only good day in months I had no B&w film, so then despite the poor weather I went out anyway, and had no developer. Well now I remember I do have Rodinal, but anyway. On an overcast day I went out with the venerable Kentmere/Agfa APX100(new). I just mixed up some D76, so I souped it in D76 1:1 The lens seems just fine, but my exposures are really much darker than I remember the conditions. Maybe underexposed. In any case, I got out with my new lens... A least that's something!! Please send sun!!

This building is related to the Art Academy as it is right behind it . Not sure if this is Beaux Arts design? In any case interesting.

Great news, Chuck. The images you posted show the quality the little lens is capable of producing, and I look forward to seeing some taken in a good light. I guess the Cardinar is next on the list?

Hahaa Thanks Rick... I realize as a collector that this is indeed next on the list... I must say though I rarely am happy with "tele" lenses.. at least for my shooting. I recall you concurring with another poster that 100 to 135 was ideal. I am rarely happy with my photos at this focal length. All that said... I will be looking for one, none the same to complete the set...although I can think of other cameras for that same amount that are more desirable.

Seems a little slow on the thread this weekend; perhaps the Northern Hemisphere winter has many of our members hunkered down. I'll post a few frames featuring our annual Cruise Martinborough event, a four-day party that brings together hundreds of classic vehicles, mainly American, and their happy owners. It's quite an event, but sadly my involvement cost me an opportunity to meet up with our Tony Evans, who was passing through our area. Big regrets, Tony, hopefully we'll make it next time. Anyway, most of my shooting was done on the digital cameras but I did find time to shoot of a roll of Ilford FP4 Plus in a Nikon FE wearing a 33-70mm Zoom Nikkor f/3.3-4.5. The film was developed in PMK Pyro. The light was a little dull and the images lack sparkle, but a soft light does make photographing cars a little easier.

There was a market day running with the "Show and Shine" event that packed the town square with vehicles this morning, and I noticed this stall-holder creating a lot of interest with his "Retro Radio" business.
