rick_drawbridge
Rick, the combination of Bergger Pancro 400 and PMK Pyro continues to impress. Yes, Mike, I have to admit that I'm seriously considering shifting my allegiance from the trusty old HP5 Plus to the Bergger newcomer. It seems to have a richer, fuller result in the Pyro, the darker tones especially showing an increased in graduation that adds depth to the image. donald_miller5
@donald- I usually try a short blast of canned air on my slides. Otherwise, clean up with scanning software. Is that Sigma 100-200 the f4.5 model from the early 80's? I have one in Minolta MD mount and find it quite a good performer. I have done that and tried a little alcohol swab once or twice but in the tradition of what an archivist would do (JDM would cringe at me making a comparison like that) I try to leave everything untouched. I had a Pentax back in the 80's and bought an inexpensive Sigma zoom lens from Caldor's. From its price I assumed it was bottom shelf but maybe that was not accurate see my photo of diver at 150 yards. I sold them in 1999 to my regret. I saw this on Ebay and read that Sigma was not necessarily that bad so I picked it up for my Prakticas and Pentax. It is the 4.5 and I like it however no matter what I mount it on the focusing does not correlate with scale distance on the ring and I do not know what that means. But it seems to be in pristine condition and a little booklet goes to great length to describe the technical innovations on it which lets me feel it is a good product.. Also posted a Kodachrome slide (1954) of guess who to show how nice Kodachrome holds up.

rick_drawbridge
At last, two fine days in a row, and I'm catching up with a backlog of photographic projects. Here are a few images from a Contax RTS fitted with the 42-75mm Yashica ML f/3.5-4.5 lens. The film was Arista EDU 100 developed in PMK Pyro. chuck_foreman1
Always one step behind...but as I always say... great minds think alike Rick D.. My posts also feature this nice Yashica 42-75mm ML series lens. Mine were with the drugstore brand 200 ASA. I shot mine using an FX2 A personal favorite, as this model was my first real camera. I learned so much using it. This particular example has a functional match needle meter that is off by 1 1/3 stops. I compared this to three other cameras and meters and settled on ASA125. My usual Rheinscapes are presented here . My screen saves are low on resolution (still no scanner) compared with the very sharp prints. The "enhanced" versions were too plastic for my taste so I left them as they were. I found the lens a real joy to shoot with and I am indebted to Matthew Currie for his generosity! A big shout out to Matthew Currie; a scholar, and a gentleman. rick_drawbridge
Nice work with the lttle Yashica zoom, Chuck, and what a pretty area you live in. That small zoom lens performs way beyond my initial expectations. Since acquiring a Mamiya 645 1000s outfit at the beginning of the year I've made much use of the 105-210mm zoom, rather at the expense of the 150mm Mamiya Sekor f/3.5 that came with the kit, so I fitted it to the camera and shot a roll of Iford HP5 Plus whch I subsequently developed in PMK Pyro. I was impressed by the len's performance, but Mamiya glass seldom disappoints, in my experience. Scans from an Epson V700 Photo, using the native Epson software, for a change, as opposed to the Silverfast SE. rossb
Across 100 developed for 10 min in ID11 at 1:1 (Massive development chart). Still in a learning curve on the black filter and overexposed the negative 1.5 stops because my Math was incorrect. It seems to have come out ok anyway. I will do better and am going to shoot somewhere tomorrow morning. Foggy out there as usual. Edited July 9, 2017 by rossb
rossb
Some rocks in the tide pools at Point Lobos. It's been horribly hot here lately and walking around the cool and comfortable rocky beach was nice. Same roll and no filter or anything on this shot. Just trying to snap the beautiful rocks.

davecaz
abc That is wild! My opinion of Walgreen's shot up several notches based on their embracing the Art Deco styling of that building. And I love the juxtaposition against the Federalist brick fire house behind it.
