rick_drawbridge
I managed to shoot a roll of Ilford HP5 Plus yesterday afternoon just before the latest period of rain arrived. The light and contrast were very low, but I rather like the overall wintry effect. The camera was a Mamiya 645 1000s, lenses noted, and the film was developed in PMK Pyro. Wouter Willemse
From 2 weeks ago, when there was plenty of sun - so finally a good time to bring out the Delta 100 and mix up some Perceptol. I quite love this combination. Leica R6, Summicron-R 35mm and an orange filter Next one is more a test shot of the latest acquisition, a not-that-known lens. Not yet utterly convinced, but operator error is not unlikely either. Leica R6, Elmar-R 180mm

rossb
Jamestown, Calif. We ate breakfast there earlier this week. It's a good place. The decor inside is Black and White stuff. Even the people that work there are wearing B/W clothing. They have an abundance of B/W cows in the place and a sign that say's "Save Black and White Cows".
Pinklather
Erko - both the wagon and the engine head shots are sweet. Tones on the wood and on the first head shot are particularly rich. Nicely done. Rick - I can't stop loving the clarity of your work. The only SF work I can compare to is Scott Schroeder on LFF and the much missed Tony. Ross - nice one of Yosemite. Clarity & execution (tones, crispness) are delightful in the woods creek shot. JDM - Sweet one of the cathedral. Rick VN - excellent capture of the musician's expressions. georg_s - I was very much *not* expecting this composition & was rather surprised. I really like it. Wouter, Dang - no wonder you like the combo. Tones on the lake shot are enough to make me giddy. Bertliang - 2nd shot of the brooding sky & field through the walking gate is nice. rossb
Went to the Biker rally today and shot a roll of Street Pan 400 that I have had for a while. Here is the first shot of the roll. The film stock is very thin and curly. I decided to go with my Nikon N80 and a 50mm lens. Mostly because it's quiet and shoots blistering fast in comparison to my other old clunkers.
Tony Evans
Had a bad week. Invested in a Pixco CY to PK adapter hoping to use my Contax CZJp glass on my Pentax KX. Unfortunately this is an Optic adapter with about a 1.4X mag. turning my 35mm into a 50mm and theoretically loosing 1 Stop. However, this adapter, on the camera, looses over three Stops according to the KX meter, do not ask me how. In comparison the 50mm Pentax-M meters perfectly. Also, resolution falls off rapidly towards all edges. A complete waste of time. Anyway here are a few with the adapter and the Distagon 35mm f2.8, on a walk down to a local Cove. TMY and Pyro HD. BEHIND THE SHED. ON THE BEACH I. ON THE BEACH II. ON THE BEACH III. One with the Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 for comparison. rossb
I finally got a chance to use my 10 stop ND filter today. It meters out to be 9 stops which makes me wonder. I took a digital camera with me to use it to help me work my way down the stops to a seemingly decent shutter speed but it only goes to IS0 200 and my film is Delta 100 so that only added to the confusion of it all. Anyway I wound up bracketing from 15 seconds to 2 minutes in 1 stop increments at f22. . I will post up a picture later but I still have 8 frames left so I cannot develop it. I'm probably going to purchase another incident meter. I cannot afford a 1 degree spot meter. The other odd thing is my tripod. On my recent trip to Calaveras State park one of the rubber feet fell off on a bridge over a big creek. It bounced around and came to a rest 1 inch from the edge of the bridge so i was able to retrieve it. When I got home I removed all the rubber feet and put a bit of gorilla glue on them and then tightened them up. Today for my long exposure I could not extend one of the legs because some of the glue got into the works. I wound up shooting with a short tripod which worked out fine. It's sturdier that way. After getting home I wrapped the rubber foot with a piece of leather and gave it a tug with pliers and it popped lose again and all is well and my rubber feet are still tight and glued. I do not know if you can buy new feet for it and would hate to buy a new tripod every time a rubber foot falls off. Manfrotto Bee Free. The 8.8 lb support limit version in aluminum. The weight limit is bunk actually as my 645e weighs 3 lbs and is really to heavy for it using a normal 80mm lens. Mike Gammill
I don't know if you could get them to fit, but rubber crutch tips (available at local pharmacy) could be used in place of the rubber feet. Of course, they wouldn't be adjustable if you had to glue them on.

Mike Gammill
Tested a roll of Kentmere 100 in my ZX-7 over the last few days. I actually used the times given on the Massive Development chart of Ultrafine Xtreme 100 (10' @ 68F dilution H). A bit denser than I like for scanning but still not bad. Might try 9 to 9.5 next time. Grain looks reasonable. I'm considering a bulk roll later this month. old shed, ZX-7 with 50mm f2.8 Macro FA Another you think? one more Magnolia blossom

Wouter Willemse
The second camera I had with me on the walk that yielded the previous pictures was a Leica R7 - technically a modern film camera. I used it with Agfa Precisa CT100, I was quite curious about this film. It's much cheaper than other E6 films around here (still relatively expensive), but I must say the results don't disappoint.
