Gerald Cafferty
Another challenge for another week. Remember there are no rules you can do what you wish in your interpretation, but if you can give information of the steps taken and software used to add interest. It is not meant as a competition just a bit of fun. If anyone else would like to post an image for next week just step forward.......Regards GC. Glenn McCreery
Nice image to work with. I was attracted to the boat and the curves of the water in the channel but found the houses in the upper right to be a distraction, so I cropped the image. The photo, and especially the sky, seemed underexposed, so I made a duplicate layer and used multiply with an opacity of 0.89. Then I adjusted curves. That's all.
Bill J Boyd
Imported to LR for my usual adjustments....shadows, highlights, and a slight crop from bottom. Next used Color Efex Pro 4 with a bit of tonal adjustment.
Supriyo
I liked how the boat was parked in the middle of the canal with oars on both banks. I also wanted to highlight the curves of the canal and make the boat the focal point. I wanted the land to be dark and the water bright. So I converted to BW in Silver Efex with some selective color filters and vignette added.
tom_r
I apologize for this not being more professional. It was an excuse for me to amateurishly try using Photoshop and Piccure+ with my new Akvis NatureArt plugin plus a little mood altering with 3d Lut Creator. Thanks for the practice.
