Tony Evans
Portside Marina, the third Marina in Brentwood Bay, is an interesting place. It houses Abernethy & Gaudin Haul-Out and Shipwrights, Pacifica Paddle Sports and a motley collection of old (but much loved) "Tubs", many under what seems continuous refiting. Here's some with the RTSII (Manual Mode for the purists), CZJp Planar 50/1.7, FOMO 400 in PMK Pyro. First, a couple from Pacifica. LONG AND THIN. Pinklather
Rick, I noticed your scooter shot was Acros & Ultrafin. It *did* show way more mid-tone separation than I've gotten w/ rodinal, HC-110, D-76 & even PyroHD. I've been about to swear off Acros, but this isn't bad. 'Still doesn't have the rich tones of the Ilford films - as your shots above it show. But then, whatever you're doing for processing consistently looks excellent. My shot #29 was Pan F & Pyro - finally got some of the results I expected out of the slow film. Edited June 3, 2017 by Pinklather

Mike Gammill
Developed and scanned a roll of FP4+ that I shot with a Tamron Adaptamatic 105mm f2.5. Adaptamatic mounts (not to be confused with Adaptall and Adaptall II) are not easy to find. I bought one for Minolta SR from a seller in Great Britain. Building in Tupelo. rick_drawbridge
Yes, Pinklather, your #29 has beautiful tonality, helped by the lustrous metal and subdued light. And, of course, by a great lens and sublime operator skill! The Acros/Ultrafin combo is amazing for subjects that lack a very wide tonal range, but I find it lacks grunt in situations where a punchy image is desired. Much as I like Acros in terms of overall quality, I find it a very "polite" film, often with infinite shades of grey and not a lot of contrast. Still, it's a very forgiving film in terms of exposure, and it has a lovely grain... Mike, I have a couple of the old Tamron Adaptamatic lenses and while the coatings are not up to the later BBAR standards they are optically excellent, as your images show. The evolution from Adaptamatic through Adaptall to Adaptall II was a real success story for Tamron. Edited June 3, 2017 by rick_drawbridge

Mike Gammill
Thanks, Rick. I'd been looking for the Adaptall version of this lens, but the few I found were selling for more than a Nikkor 105 f2.5. It's a well-made and heavy lens, but not hard to manage. It balances well on the SRT and similar bodies. I hope to try some portraits with the lens soon since that is a good portrait focal length. I'm not sure if Tamron ever offered an MC version of the Adaptamatic mount, but I'm okay with using it in stop-down mode with its SR mount. rick_drawbridge
Lovely image, AgBr. What were the tools and materials? In retrospect, I feel that perhaps my earlier comments in this thread regarding Acros were a little unfair. I looked back through my files and found a series I'd taken on Acros, developed in D-76. My notes indicate that I extended the recommended development time by about a third, and the results were certainly not lacking in contrast, demonstrating that adjustments to development processes can change one's feeling about a particular film! I'll post three samples; the Camera was a Bronica ETRs with the 40mm Zenzanon MC f/4 lens. rossb
My wife and I hiked around Pincrest Lake, Ca yesterday. It's 4.5miles which makes a good distance for active old folks. . When hiking with my wife I do not take a tripod as it's time consuming. . It's all just for fun anyway. Mamiya 645e with Arista 400/ID11 12.5min (my usual). I shot all the water stuff at 1/60th as that all I can hand hold with the big clunker that I shoot. Edited June 4, 2017 by rossb
