I think that ww1 wasn't finished yet when the inscription was carved.

My daughter ran the 5K Big Sir Marathon and fun runs today. Found this shot of the runner that never tires of celebrating the finish. It was fun and a nice day.

I'm curious as to what the "thing" is. It is an inscription; a dedication.

Oh, and it is in Dutch ,...it says " In Remembrance of the European War ". Then note.... the war never ended the last number is missing 1914-191

Mamiya 645e/Arista 400/ID11. The Arista film has a bit of character compared to HP5. I think I will just shoot it for a while and see how it goes. The low price cannot be ignored.

The exact choice of words makes me think that the item is in fact Belgian/Flemish.

As the Netherlands remained neutral throughout the period, there is very little we do in sense of remembrance concerning the Great War.
