Karim Ghantous
I bought a pair of F3HP's new in 2002, SN's at 2M. One is still in the box, my 1983 F3AF (with DE-3) is still going strong. But, I prefer the all-mechanical F2. Nikon_4decadesB by fiftyonepointsix, on Flickr Brian, these are amazing cameras. I have owned one of each of the SLRs. I used to carry the F3 around loaded with Sensia 100. I don't know why I don't do that anymore!
Dieter Schaefer
Twenty-one years is a long time in camera-years. It sure is. I still have mine and my only regret is that I haven't used it more. Leica lust is like no other. True. Some get cured rather quickly once it comes to actually using one though. . If you read the original posting, the person seems to have decided that he likes film better. If he was indeed all that sure, then there would be no need to ask what to do with the Nikon DSLR he still owns.
Ed_Ingold
In the following images, I compare detail between Ektacolor 100 and a Leica digital M9, using the same lens (90/2 Summicron), at the same time and location. It should be abundantly clear why this was the last time is spent time and money using film.

Ektacolor, Leica M3 + 90/2 Summicron, scanned on a Nikon LS-8000 at 4000 ppi
https://www.photo.net/photo/18058059/n1400923-16-detail

Digital, Leica M9 + 90/2 Summicron
https://www.photo.net/photo/18058057/l1001138-detail Edited March 6, 2017 by Ed_Ingold
