sallymack
Hi, Laura, working out the kinks with a photo of reflections from the wetlands. --Sally
sallymack
Didn't turn out quite the way I thought it would, wanted to post the image full-size but at least it's there. Maybe next time. . .
Laura Weishaupt
Hey Sally, Are you choosing the thumbnail option or the large file. Good news with the thumbnail is that once posted it can be clicked and seen full size.
Laura Weishaupt
The mushroom is the full size. It can be a bit confusing waiting for the image to load, then choosing. When I did it the first time I kept wondering what was happening. I also don't see many of the items at the bottom of the post that reappeared yesterday. Now it's only Edit and Report. Hmmm. sallymack
Hi, Laura, I don't recall seeing the "thumbnail" or "full size" option when starting a new thread but could easily have missed it. Still getting used to the new format. Not so different in concept, just enough in practice to be confusing.
Laura Weishaupt
After you upload a photo there is an option to have it full size or thumbnail. Make your choice then click post reply. You don't see this until the image has loaded. It's good to see the forums back. Last night I got a server error message on the forums page. Don't know how long it was down, but I guess the problem was solved.

sallymack
Another of Gordon's gorgeous pictures! What I wouldn't give to look like that! Able to sign on, today, after several hitches yesterday but, then, AT&T was having trouble yesterday, too. That's without going into camera problems due to excess moisture (rain)--rice really works! Leslie Reid
Here's an attempt to figure out how to get text above and below an image. First the message, <br><br>then the space for the photo<br> <br>Then added the caption: "What we have here is a failure to communicate..."<br><br> It's looking like it worked. I typed the first part of the message, then hit "upload a file" at the point that I wanted the photo, chose full image, then went back into the message box and added the rest of this text. If it posts like it looks now, it will have worked...
Matthew Currie
So let's see if I can get an image on and caption it.... AHA! This is a dragonfly from the Phinizy Swamp in Georgia.
Bill J Boyd
Another test of trying to figure out where to put text.... this shot taken from my patio with a 80-400mm Nikon lens.
dcstep
Just a heads up. For those that load your images on another hosting site, PN now accepts BB Code. It's far easier to post with BB Code, where you simply call it up on the host, in the size your want, Copy and Paste here, with no modifications required.
