robert_byrd1
I'm posting this shot to illustrate the character of the Rokkor MD 135mm 3.5. Even through a scan, I think the lens speaks for itself. And--because this slide was taken in 1979 and scanned just this week--it speaks volumes about Kodachrome.<div></div>
chris1664876655
Dear Robert, moments before reading your post and viewing your picture I was thinking about getting another camera. Right now I use a SRT 101. That picture was exactly what I needed to see. It helped to remind me that I don't need anything new to take the kind of pictures that I want to take. robert_byrd1
Thanks, Chris, for your gracious note. You are correct: all you need do is stock up on that great Minolta glass; then you can make all the great shots your time and talents afford. An SRT 101 is a great, sturdy instrument, and--with that mirror lockup--unusually flexible. I also love its big, bright view in the finder and the match-needle that allows for fine-tuning in exposures.
LenMarriott
Robert, I think Chris has just had a 'lightbulb moment'. Very few photographers are as limited by their current equipment as they are by their imaginations. In his biography, Photo.net user Vincent Tylor, states that hard work beats equipment almost every time. I think he is correct. Best, LM.

chris1664876655
Dear Robert, in response to another post about why Minoltians don't post may photographs, my reason is that I don't have a good scanner and don't want to be embarrassed. I dropped off a few negatives at my lab on Saturday and hope to have something to share with everyone soon. Chris
